Mira's promise: no secret peeking. The game only uses the number you pick and the math you do. The reveal always explains the force afterwards.

Step 1: Pick any two-digit number. It is your secret.
Tens digit (1 to 9)
Ones digit (0 to 9)
Step 2: Do this little sum. Mira is not peeking.
Step 3: Find your answer number in the chart. Memorize its symbol. Do not tap it, just remember it.
Every number has a symbol. Only you know which one is yours.
Step 4: Concentrate. Mira gazes into the crystal ball.
Think hard about your symbol. When the ball glows, Mira is ready.
Mira says your symbol is...
That should never happen on an honest run: your answer is always a multiple of 9, and every multiple of 9 shares one symbol. Check your sum, or tap Change my number and try again with fresh eyes.
Here is the trick in plain words. Take any two-digit number, call its digits A and B. The number itself is 10 times A plus B. Add the digits (A plus B) and subtract that from the number: (10A + B) minus (A + B) equals 9A. So the answer is always 9, 18, 27, 36, 45, 54, 63, 72, or 81. The chart is built so every one of those numbers carries the same symbol. That is the whole force: your free choice was real, but the math quietly herds every choice to the same family of answers.
How to perform it for friends: (1) Let them pick any two-digit number in secret. (2) Ask them to add the digits and subtract the sum, then find the symbol in a chart you prepared where all multiples of 9 share one symbol. (3) Reveal that symbol with confidence. (4) Change the shared symbol every show, so nobody spots the pattern by comparing charts.
