Deep Current is a competitive fishing arena: cast near glowing hotspots, hook one of 24 species, and reel it in while managing line tension against tugs and tangles. Three rival anglers fish the same water, contested hotspots deplete as anyone fishes them, and a current surge regularly reshuffles the fish. With three lures that change bite speed and tension, timed arena rounds, a date-seeded Daily Current, and a relaxed mode, it is a lively pick among browser games for players who like a contest with their catch.

How to play

1. Tap the water to cast, or aim with the arrow keys and press Enter; casting near a glowing hotspot gives faster bites.
2. When a fish bites, hold REEL (or hold Space) to wind it in, and release to ease tension before it hits the top and the line snaps.
3. Switch lures: Worm is steady on bottom fish, Spinner is fast for mid-water fish but spikes tension, Fly tempts rare surface fish.
4. Win a round by reaching 450 points first or leading when the 50-second clock ends; win 2 of 3 rounds to take the match.
5. Watch for current surges that reshuffle the fish, and release the reel to clear a tangle.

Tips

• Fish a hotspot while it is rich, then move on before it runs dry; rivals deplete it too.
• Pulse the reel on rare and legendary fish: short pulls with releases beat one long hold that snaps the line.
