About this game

Obscure Atlas is a daily geography quiz about little-known towns, islands and regions: read the clues, guess the place, and climb from Rookie to Legend. Everyone gets the same 10-place Daily challenge, plus endless Free Run and Relaxed modes, streak bonuses, coins and a local top-5 board. A bright browser games pick with a 214-place bank of original clues.

How to play

1. Tap Play Daily for today's 10 places, Free Run for endless places with 3 lives, or Relaxed with no lives and no pressure.
2. Read the first clue, then tap one of the four place names to answer.
3. Stuck? Tap Reveal next clue for a second or third clue, but each extra clue lowers the points.
4. A right answer on clue 1 earns 300 points, on clue 2 earns 200, on clue 3 earns 100, plus a streak bonus.
5. Finish the run to see your shareable recap and your place on the local top-5 board.

Tips

• The first clue is always the broadest: continent, kind of place, and landscape. Use it to rule out two options before guessing.
• Revealing a clue after a wrong guess is free in points terms beyond the clue penalty, so a wrong first guess still leaves a strong score.
• In Free Run, guard your 3 lives: on a place you truly do not know, reveal all three clues before your first tap.
