Tandem Tides

About this game

Tandem Tides is a simultaneous two-player puzzle platformer where an otter and a turtle must cooperate on every bridge, with one holding a switch plate while the other crosses. Play together on one keyboard, or solo with a partner bot that holds plates and waits at gaps, across an endless run of tide-themed levels. It is a cheerful pick among browser games for pairs who like solving things side by side.

How to play

1. Player 1 moves with WASD and Player 2 with the arrow keys; in Solo, press Tab or Swap to switch friends.
2. Stand on a lettered switch plate to raise its bridge, and note that every bridge has a plate on both sides.
3. Cross while your partner holds the plate, grab every star shell, then hold the far plate so your partner can cross too.
4. When all shells are collected, get BOTH friends onto the Golden Dock to clear the level.
5. Falling in the water is a splash; three splashes end a level, except in Relaxed Tide where splashes never end a run.

Tips

• Call out the bridge letter before you cross so your partner knows which plate to hold.
• Grab shells in one smooth run for a combo bonus, and use Relaxed Tide to practise a tricky bridge with no splash limit.
